    1.  What is Wing Chun Kung Fu? 
    Wing Chun Kung Fu is a set of principles designed solely for combat. It  is primarily a hand orientated strike system that is extremely effective for street and close quarter self defense. 

    2.  What is your Associations’ lineage in Wing Chun Kung Fu?
    The Associations’ lineage is through Grand Master Ip Man style of Wing Chun Kung Fu.

    3.  Does Wing Chun Kung Fu vary from one school to another?
    Yes, it does. The reason being that as Wing Chun Kung Fu developed, each student 
    and teacher alike
     inteterpreted and passed it onto the ensuing generation differently.  The fundemenntal structure and content however remain a consistent theme throughout the sytem regardless of lineage or style. This is something that is not solely synonymous with the Wing Chun Kung Fu system, but can be found throughout all styles of martial arts.
      4.  Does Wing Chun Kung Fu have a belt system?
     
There isn’t a belt system within this association. There are levels of attainment   – beginners,   
        intermediate and advanced. These levels are attained via grading and tests. However, there are Wing 
        Chun schools that have a belt system.


          5.  Do you need a uniform?
  

          No, you do not need a uniform to begin. A white t-shirt and black sweats are all you need. Once you    
          decide that Wing Chun Kung Fu is for you, a uniform will be your investment.

 
          6 .  Is there any risk of being injured? 
          There is contact within training in Wing Chun Kung Fu and therefore, risk of injury. However,   
          classes are monitored very closely by the instructor, so as to reduce the risk of injury.


          7.  How big are your classes and how long do they last?
          Classes are kept small and consist of approximately 10 to 12 students in order to maintain the    
          quality and cosistency of the teaching.  
          The classes are generally between an hour to hour and a half long.


          8.  Can one participate in competitions?

          Wing Chun Kung Fu is not a sport and traditionally there has not been formal competition within the
          system. However, if individuals want to compete in open tournaments they are free to do so with the  
          consent of the instructor.


          9.  How long will it take to become proficient in Wing Chun Kung Fu?
          Compared to most other martial arts one can can become proficient in Wing Chun Kung Fu
          in relatively short period of time. However, the more you dedicate yourself to the art the faster your  
          skills and progress will be. Most students gain proficiency within one to two years. 

 
          10.  Can women and children participate in classes?
          There is no syllabus for training children at present. However, the good news is that there is one in  
          development. Women can participate and train in classes, after all the founder of Wing Chun Kung
          Fu  was a women.

 
          11.  Why should I train in Wing Chun Kung Fu rather than in another martial art?  
          There are many great reasons to train in Wing Chun Kung Fu, however you can only truly  
          appreciate the system by experiecing it first hand. Our schools offer a free introductory class.


          12.  What is so unique about Wing Chun Kung Fu and your organization in particular?  
          The simplicity within the philosophy of Wing Chun Kung Fu makes this art very easy to comprehend  
          and practice. Thus, one attains the satisfaction of personal achievement with ease.

          Chun Kung Fu Association has developed a new and unique style of Wing Chun Kung Fu, and one  
          which is more suited to a 21st century type environment. The style emphasizes mobility and  
          fluidity and incorporates ground work in addition to coventional Wing Chun Kung Fu techniques
